Biogas plants using grass –the advantages of diversity

Biogas plants using grass are a biogas plant concept of VBTS, which were developed under the specification of substrate diversity. As known from feeding cattle, feeding with only one nutrient e.g. corn can be detrimental for the productivity and the health of the animal. It all boils down to the mixture of the fodder. This mixture can only be processed however, if one prepares this substrate – the plant is given dentures as it were. The diversity of the input leads to greater independence and increased output. Hence, you are able to utilise the diversity of your raw materials and react quickly to market developments. It is not your biogas plant that determines your crops, but your market assessment.
